Serbia joins new International Anti-Corruption Academy

VIENNA, Austria -- Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic signed an agreement Thursday (September 2nd) on establishing an International Anti-Corruption Academy, along with representatives of 35 other countries. They signed it at the inaugural conference, held in Vienna. Dacic said that with this move, Serbia demonstrates its commitment to fighting organised crime and corruption. The academy is a joint initiative of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the Austrian government, and the European Anti-Fraud Office, among others. The academy is to become fully operational next year.
