Minority council elections held in Serbia

BELGRADE, Serbia -- Members of Serbian minority communities head to the polls on Sunday (June 6th) to elect their representatives in national minority councils. These are the first elections organised under the 2009 law on national minority councils. Direct elections are to be held for 16 national minority councils. Three of the minorities -- Croats, Macedonians and Slovenes -- will elect their representatives indirectly. (Beta, RTS, B92, Tanjug - 05/06/10)
