Intruder tries to enter Istanbul embassy

ISTANBUL, Turkey -- Police arrested an armed man who tried to force his way into the Ukrainian Embassy in Istanbul on Tuesday (March 9th). The 29-year-old man, who was carrying a weapon and a home-made explosive device, was shot and wounded outside the embassy in the Bakırkoy district of the European part of the city. Security forces evacuated people from nearby buildings. According to Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler, the man has had domestic problems in Ukraine.
