ECB's Trichet confident of Greek austerity plan success

OTTAWA, Canada -- Eurozone members told a meeting of G-7 members on Saturday (February 6th) that they are keeping a close eye on the situation in Greece and its government's austerity plan, European Central Bank (ECB) President Jean-Claude Trichet told reporters in the town of Iqaluit, northern Canada, where the meeting was taking place. Trichet reiterated that the ECB is confident of Greece's ability to implement all measures needed to get its public finances in check. (Dow Jones, Reuters - 06/02/10)
