ANKARA, Turkey -- The police on Saturday (January 23rd) arrested 60 people suspected of belonging to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), local media reported. The arrests were carried out in simultaneous raids in Istanbul and three cities in the Kurd-dominated southeast part of the country. Two reporters at the Kurdish-language newspaper Azadiya Welat were among those detained. (Anadolu news agency, Reuters, CNN Turk - 23/01/10)
