Greek media mogul Lambrakis dies

ATHENS, Greece -- Media mogul Christos Lambrakis died of heart problems in hospital in Athens on Monday (December 21st). He was 74. Lambrakis Press publishes four newspapers in the country, including Vima and Ta Nea, and 24 magazines. It also owns the internet website www.in.gr, and holds 22% of Teletypos, which controls Mega TV. Lambrakis started his career as a journalist at Vima, one of the newspapers owned by his father. He inherited the family business when he was young. (Reuters, AP - 21/12/09)
