Albania, Republika Srpska report first swine flu deaths

TIRANA, Albania -- The Health Ministry reported on Thursday (December 3rd) the first swine flu death, a 57-year-old patient from the outskirts of Tirana who had been battling a tumour and heart problems. More than 200 people have been infected with the H1N1 virus so far.

In other news, the first swine flu death in BiH's entity of Republika Srpska (RS) has been confirmed by Institute of Health spokesperson Milka Mrdja. In all, there are 257 known cases in RS. (FoNet, B92, Radio Free Europe, Shekulli, Ora News, VoA, Telegrafi - 03/12/09)
