Croatia to close three EU negotiation chapters

27/11/2009

BRUSSELS, Belgium -- Croatia is expected to close three more EU negotiation chapters Friday (November 27th), for a total of 15 out of 33. The chapters -- financial services, energy, and consumer and health protection -- will be closed at an intergovernmental conference, the second of the year. At the previous one, on October 2nd, the country managed to close five chapters and open six others. Authorities hope to complete accession negotiations by mid-2010, paving the way for EU entry in 2012. (HRT, Javno - 26/11/09)
