08/11/2009

BELGRADE, Serbia -- Hundreds of people were evacuated on Saturday (November 7th) because of floods in southwest Serbia. The high waters flooded houses and other buildings. Thousands of families in several cities were left without drinking water. Authorities said the floods were caused by torrential rains over the past several days, which have also damaged road infrastructure. (AP, RTS, A1 - 07/11/09)
