Serbia arrests five war crimes suspects

BELGRADE, Serbia -- Police arrested five people early Friday (November 6th) suspected of war crimes against civilians in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). War crimes prosecutor's office spokesman Bruno Vekaric said the five are suspected of having murdered 23 civilians of Roma origin in the villages of Malesic, Petkovic and Drinjaca on July 11th 1992. He added that a sixth suspect is already in prison, serving a sentence for war crimes committed in Sjeverin, in eastern BiH. (Beta, Tanjug, B92, Sitel, MIA - 06/11/09)
