Masked men rob bank in Vlora, Albania

TIRANA, Albania -- Three armed and masked men robbed a bank in the port city of Vlora on Monday (October 12th). The robbers escaped in a Mercedes that was later found torched. The amount of money stolen was not released.

In other news, two brothers in the southeastern town of Gjirokastra were arrested on Monday after police found 30kg of marijuana and an AK 47 in their flat. Initial information released by the police suggests the pair planned to smuggle the drugs into neighbouring Greece. (News 24, Top News, Shekulli, Ora News - 12/10/09)
