Bulgarian police seize heroin at Turkish border

SOFIA, Bulgaria -- Police have dismantled a local drug trafficking ring that allegedly attempted to smuggle 35kg of heroin from neighbouring Turkey, the interior ministry said on Friday (June 19th). Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint seized the drugs, hidden in a Bulgarian-registered car, and arrested two men. (24 Chasa, Actualno, Darik, Focus, AFP - 19/06/09)
