ICTY's Robinson tours Western Balkans

ZAGREB, Croatia -- Patrick Robinson, president of The Hague war crimes tribunal (ICTY), arrived in Croatia on Friday (June 12th). He is on a tour of Western Balkan countries, with stops also planned in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Slovenia. It is Robinson's first visit to the region since his appointment in November 2008.

The ICTY head will meet with government officials, representatives of the judiciary and victims' associations in the three countries. On Saturday, he addressed a conference in Dubrovnik concerning co-operation between the tribunal and countries of the former Yugoslavia. (DPA - 13/06/09, HINA, STA, AFP - 12/06/09)
