10/06/2009

SKOPJE, Macedonia -- President Gjorge Ivanov has dismissed Intelligence Agency chief Viktor Dimovski, an appointee of former President Branko Crvenkovski. His main opposition Social Democratic Alliance of Macedonia (SDSM) says the move Tuesday (June 9th) came as no surprise. Aleksandar Bocinov will replace Dimovski.

In other news, Serbian Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac arrives in Skopje on Wednesday to meet with Ivanov, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Defence Minister Zoran Konjanovski. Discussions are expected to focus on developments in the region and bilateral co-operation. (Beta -10/06/09; Tanjug, Makfax, A1, MRT - 09/06/09)
