Croat national aboard missing plane

03/06/2009

ZAGREB, Croatia -- A Croatian national was among the passengers on the Air France Airbus that went missing over the Atlantic Ocean, local media reported on Tuesday (June 2nd). Local media identified him as Zoran Markovic, a 45-year-old sailor from Grizane, western Croatia. His wife Dalija rejected media reports that Markovic was late for the flight and didn't board in time. The Air France jet, carrying 228 passengers and crew, vanished from radar screens early Monday.
