Two Kosovo police officers suspended over drug theft incident

PRISTINA, Kosovo -- Police head Sheremet Ahmeti ordered the suspension Monday (May 4th) of two police officers -- a lieutenant colonel and a major -- for the theft of 47kg of heroin from an evidence room last week. Police spokesperson Arber Beka said the two officers were suspended for violating administrative and managerial rules. The heroin and about 3,800 euros disappeared from the evidence room at police headquarters. (Express, Telegrafi, TV 21, Koha Ditore - 05/05/09)
