Montenegrin police arrest 25 suspected marijuana traffickers

PODGORICA, Montenegro -- Police arrested 25 people suspected of trafficking marijuana from Albania, police spokesperson Tamara Popovic announced on Friday (February 27th). Local media reported that a police officer and a low-level government official were among those arrested. The suspects are believed to have smuggled about 2.5 tonnes of marijuana from Albania through Montenegro to neighbouring Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Popovic explained.
