Cypriot leaders agree to speed up reunification talks

NICOSIA, Cyprus -- President Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat agreed in Nicosia on Friday (October 10th) to speed up talks aimed at reunifying the island. UN Special Envoy for Cyprus Alexander Downer announced after the meeting that they will now meet on a weekly basis. Friday's meeting focused on the future federal governance.
