Car accident caused the death of key witness in Albania, investigator says

TIRANA, Albania -- A car accident caused the death of Kosta Trebicka, a key witness in an investigation of the illegal ammunition trade in Albania, US investigator Kevin Teter said on Friday (October 3rd). He sent his conclusions to Chief Prosecutor Ina Rama on Thursday. Trebicka was found dead on September 12th on a mountain road in eastern Albania. In 2007, the businessman told Albanian and US investigators that the US company AEY Inc. had been repackaging old Chinese ammunition in Albania to hide its origin.
