ICTY rejects request by Karadzic for transcripts in Cyrillic

THE HAGUE, Netherlands -- The Hague war crimes tribunal (ICTY) has rejected a request by former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic to receive a translation in Serbian and a transcription in Cyrillic of all conversations and remarks during his trial, the RTS reported on Friday (September 26th). The tribunal decided that Karadzic did not provide enough evidence that he cannot understand documents written in Latin script. (RTS, AFP, Interfax - 26/09/08)
