Kosovo to join World Bank, IMF next year

PRISTINA, Kosovo -- Newly independent Kosovo will become a member of the World Bank and the IMF in 2009, Shiego Katsu, the Bank's regional vice president for Europe and Central Asia, said on Wednesday (September 24th). At a meeting with officials in Pristina, he announced that Kosovo has already begun its accession process and could complete it in six to nine months. (Lajm, Express, Koha Ditore - 25/09/08)
