Turkish government asks parliament to approve extension of military operations in Iraq

ANKARA, Turkey -- The government on Monday (September 22nd) formally asked parliament to extend the mandate of the Turkish Army's operations against militants from the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq.
