Albania agrees to allow war crimes convicts to serve sentences in its prisons

THE HAGUE, Netherlands -- Albanian Ambassador to the Netherlands Roland Bimo and the Registrar of The Hague war crimes tribunal, Hans Holthuis, signed a document Friday (September 19th) allowing war crimes convicts to serve their sentences in Albanian prisons. Albania is the 17th country to sign such an accord with the tribunal. The others are Italy, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Austria, France, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Great Britain, Belgium, Ukraine, Portugal, Estonia, Slovakia and Poland. (Beta, B92, Makfax - 19/09/08)
