Police seize 2.4 tonnes of marijuana in south-western Bulgaria

SOFIA, Bulgaria -- Police in southwestern Bulgaria seized 2.4 tonnes of marijuana in the latest in a series of drug raids, the interior ministry said on Friday (September 5th). The drug was seized in fields around the towns of Blagoevgrad, Petrich, Sandanski and Gotze Delchev, long known for cultivating cannabis.
