Hague verdict against Delic expected next Monday

THE HAGUE, The Netherlands -- The UN war crimes tribunal said on Wednesday (September 3rd) the verdict in the trial against former Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Army Commander Rasim Delic will be delivered on September 15th. Delic, one of the most senior Muslims to appear before the tribunal, is charged with failing to prevent war crimes by mujahedeen units under his command between 1993 and 1995. According to the indictment, Delic allowed his troops to rape, torture and murder dozens of Croats and Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. (Tanjug, B92, Reuters - 03/09/08)
