BiH police arrest 56 suspected members of international drug trafficking network

SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) -- A total of 56 suspected drug dealers were arrested in a wide-scale police operation last week, according to local media reports Friday (August 29th). Alleged members of an international drug trafficking network, they were nabbed as part of the biggest operation of this type held in BiH. It netted 63kg of marijuana. The head of the EU's police mission in BiH, Brigadier General Vincenzo Coppola, said on Friday the results are a blow to the international drug trafficking network and a victory in the fight against organised crime in the region.
