BELGRADE, Serbia -- The two main opposition parties -- the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) and the Serbian Democratic Party (DSS) -- have reached an agreement in principle to co-operate in parliament, DSS spokesman Andreja Mladenovic told B92 on Thursday (August 21st). He added leaders of the two parties would hold final talks. Mladenovic explained the parties would try to co-ordinate positions on certain draft laws and amendments and would come up with joint proposals and initiatives. Parliament resumes work on September 3rd with two important tasks confronting it -- ratification of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU and adoption of the strategic energy co-operation accord with Russia.
