SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) -- High Representative Miroslav Lajcak said on Wednesday (August 13th) that he expects party leaders in the governing coalition to use their August 23rd meeting to build a political consensus around a strategy for BiH. Lajcak, who met with Croatian Democratic Union 1990 Chairman Bozo Ljubic, stressed that the requirements arising from the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, as well as the conditions and goals defined by the Peace Implementation Council to close down the Office of the High Representative, result in a clear agenda for the coming months. In recent weeks, Lajcak has met with leaders of all six state-level ruling parties, as well as with main opposition parties, in a bid to muster consensus that would assure faster adoption of all EU-related reforms.
