ZAGREB, Croatia -- The Pozega District Court charged six former Croat military policemen Tuesday (August 12th) with war crimes against Serb civilians near the eastern town of Pakrac between November 1991 and February 1992. Damir Kufner and Davor Simic face charges of violating international conventions in their roles as commanders at the time. Pavle Vancas, Tomislav Poletto, Zeljko Tutic and Ante Ivezic allegedly murdered 17 ethnic Serbs at an improvised detention facility in Ribnjak. All the indictees are in custody.
