ATHENS, Greece -- Prosecutors filed charges against six former officials of Cypriot Helios Airways over a deadly air crash in Greece in 2005, Greek and Cypriot media reported on Saturday (August 2nd). A Helios airliner crashed north of Athens on August 14th 2005, killing all 121 passengers and crew members. The six were charged with murder and negligence that led to the deaths.
In other news, an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit eastern Greece early Sunday. The epicentre was located in a sea area about 80km east of Volos.
