Macedonian minister of local self-government resigns

SKOPJE, Macedonia -- Minister of Local Self-government Abdiraman Memeti submitted his resignation for personal reasons on Monday (December 24th), six months after he took the post. "I sincerely hope that the ministry will continue to work in the future on the projects it has launched and on the new challenges it is facing in the process of decentralisation," Memeti said in a statement. Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski has accepted the resignation. (Dnevnik - 25/12/07; Focus, A1, Makfax - 24/12/07)
