Local elections campaign kicks off in Bulgaria

SOFIA, Bulgaria -- Campaigning ahead of the October 28th local elections began on Thursday (September 27th). So far, 88 parties and coalitions have registered to participate, while the Central Election Commission has rejected the applications of 17 others. State Administration Minister Nikolay Vassilev said the elections may cost more than 18.5m euros depending on the number of cities, towns and villages requiring second rounds.
