BiH main election body reviews parties' complaints

SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) -- The Central Election Commission (CEC) said Saturday (October 21st) that it has decided to act on four out of 67 complaints related to the October 1st general election. The election body ordered recounting of the ballots in four polling stations: two in Zvornik, one in Gorazde and one in Derventa. The Commission also decided to forward three complaints placed by parties to the BiH Court's appeals chamber. CEC Chairman Branko Petric said that, by law, the final results of the general elections must be released by October 31st. (Dnevni avaz, Nezavisne novine - 22/10/06)
