Main BiH parties disagree on coalition possibilities

13/10/2006

SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) -- Republika Srpska (RS) Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, leader of the main RS party SNSD, said Thursday (October 12th) that his party will not hold talks with SBiH, the second strongest Bosniak party in the Federation of BiH, on forming a coalition at the state level. Dodik added he believes SBiH should remain in opposition. According to local media reports, it could take months to ease tensions between the two parties, following bitter exchanges during the recent campaign.
