SKOPJE, Macedonia -- Leaders of the main ethnic Albanian parties -- junior coalition partner Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) and the opposition Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) -- committed on Wednesday (May 4th) to hold free and democratic elections. DUI leader Ali Ahmeti and DPA leader Menduh Thaci vowed to avoid hate speech, provocations, and to recognise the election results. The snap parliamentary elections are on June 5th, with campaigning to start on May 16th. (Sitel, Kanal 5, MIA - 04/05/11)
