SOFIA, Bulgaria -- Parliament approved on Thursday (March 18th) the appointment of Tomislav Donchev, the former mayor of Gabrovo, as the new minister without portfolio responsible for managing EU funds. Parliament has given the cabinet a month to clarify his exact duties. Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said the new position was created to better co-ordinate management, which up until now was among the responsibilities of the finance minister.
