Turkish warplanes bomb PKK targets in northern Iraq

ANKARA, Turkey -- Turkish warplanes attacked alleged bases of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, the General Staff announced on Saturday (June 7th). According to the army, the warplanes effectively destroyed the targets. Ankara did not disclose any statistics concerning casualties. (AP, Hurriyet, AFP - 08/06/08)
