BiH's Spiric discusses reforms needed to join WTO

SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) -- Prime Minister Nikola Spiric met on Monday (June 2nd) with Marek Belka, executive secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). Belka assured BiH of the UNECE's support for its bid to join the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and offered to assist in all preparations for WTO membership. Belka praised the upcoming signing of BiH's Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU. For his part, Spiric noted that the country's macroeconomic situation is stable and that foreign investments in BiH tripled last year. (Dnevni Avaz - 03/06/08; Fena - 02/06/08)
