New Attorney General Elected in Albania

TIRANA, Albania -- Albania's Parliament approved Theodhori Sollaku as the new attorney general. Seventy-one members of parliament voted Friday (29 March) in favour of electing the legal adviser to President Rexhep Meidani, 18 were against and 15 abstained. The former Attorney General Arben Rakipi was voted out earlier this month after the opposition Democratic Party (DP) tabled a motion against him, accusing him of corruption.
