EUFOR, Serbia-Montenegro seal accords allowing transit of EUFOR troops

BELGRADE, Serbia-Montenegro -- EUFOR Commander Major General Gian Marco Chiarini and Serbia-Montenegro Foreign Minister Vuk Draskovic sealed a technical co-operation agreement Monday (23 January), which would allow the transit of EUFOR troops from Bosnia and Herzegovina through the federal union's territory en route to Kosovo. At a joint news conference, Chiarini and Draskovic stressed that the signing of the accords expressed both sides' interest in boosting collaboration and regional stability. Draskovic also noted that the deal increases security for Kosovo Serbs. (Politika - 24/01/06; Beta, NTV Hayat - 23/01/06)
