UNMIK Chief Transfers More Responsibilities to Kosovo Interim Institutions

PRISTINA, Kosovo, Serbia-Montenegro -- UNMIK chief Soren Jessen-Petersen transferred more powers late last week to the Kosovo interim government, boosting its economic and social responsibilities, according to a press release issued Monday (18 July). The decision amends the regulation pertaining to the Economic and Fiscal Council, which from now on will be chaired by Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Kosumi. (UNMIK Web site, B92 - 18/07/05)
