SFOR Reports Large Amount of Illegal Weapons Seized in BiH

SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) -- SFOR announced Tuesday (27 July) that its personnel seized a large amount of illegal weapons in the municipality of Dobosnica during a recent operation. SFOR discovered the arsenal in a site protected by antipersonnel mines. The peacekeepers made one arrest, a police officer from the police headquarters in Lukavac.

In other news Tuesday, BiH Presidency Chairman Sulejman Tihic held a farewell meeting with outgoing US Ambassador to BiH Clifford Bond. They discussed progress the country has made and the future handover of security issues to an EU force. Bond confirmed Washington's continuing support for political and military reforms in BiH.
